This was a two-hankie episode.

The big one was Porsha Stewart Williams melting down at a Cynthia Bailey event when NeNe Leakes rides her for not being a good friend yet again.

Why this time? Porsha, now in divorce proceedings, moved to Duluth not far from NeNe.

Yet Porsha didn't bother to tell NeNe, soon after NeNe in a previous episode said she only called NeNe when she needed her, not the other way around. Porsha, who is clearly self-absorbed, didn't have any real excuse why she didn't bother to tell NeNe.

But the other women found out first about the move and Kenya Moore, being the troublemaker/instigator that she is, told NeNe. "Shady!" NeNe said.

So when she confronted Porsha about this and told her she was a bad friend, Porsha ran off and began crying, saying she was having a bad day. "I'm going to have a f**** nervous breakdown!" she said. Cynthia tried to calm her down. NeNe wasn't all that emphatic to Porsha's meltdown but said their friendship was not hopeless. She said she still believes Porsha can be a better friend. Else, NeNe wouldn't have bothered to critique her like that.

In a related issue, Porsha's move to that nearly 8,000 square foot  home in the 'burbs in and of itself is fairly dopey for a single woman whose only guaranteed income is from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." It's a lease-to-buy arrangement. Two of the fiscally responsible women on the show Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks showed up and questioned the wisdom of spending her money that way. Her rationale: the home is some sort of "motivation.""We don't spend money to get motivated," Phaedra said. They also complained the house was too far from in town. Porsha's defense? She's a homebody who likes the peace and quiet.

The other crying situation was between Kandi and her fiance Todd. He's a producer and she wants him to help her with the play she's working on. But he said he is considering a job that would take him around the world and would preclude him from helping her out. She says it's okay if he wants to go instead of doing the play, but her tears betray her real feelings. She said he seemed happier when he's away from her on work projects, which probably isn't true but reveals her insecurities.

NeNe also told Kenya (but not Kandi yet) that she didn't want to do Kandi's play because it's beneath her. (Kenya mockingly called Kandi's play part of the "chitlin' circuit.")

In other storylines:

- Chuck Smith, the former NFL player who once dated (or in his mind, just fooled around with) Kandi and Phaedra, was mocked by the two women tonight after last week's episode. Kandi said he shouldn't be so impressed with himself because he has a "bite-sized brownie" of a man organ. Phaedra agreed, then dubbed him a "light-skinned Frankenstein." I wonder if he saw that coming, which is why he didn't want to talk to me.

- Malorie, Cynthia's sister, traipsed into town last week for what Cynthia thought was a weekend visit. But Mal said she wanted to stay at Cynthia's place for two months. Two months? Without any warning? Cynthia goes along with this without telling her husband Peter Thomas. He got peeved in last week's episode when he did and felt disrespected. Cynthia in this episode apologized but didn't change the situation. (Kenya later questioned Mal's inconsiderate move and Mal got a little peeved about her getting in her business but the verbal battle petered out before it could build any steam.)

- Kenya, who has had no real storyline lately, has her father Ronald visit her. He was annoyingly judgmental about everything, from her food to her design taste. Somehow, Kenya wasn't annoyed. Later, in front of NeNe, he offered some sexist comments about how it's his way or no way. ("I don't believe in women telling me what to do," he said.)

Kenya bragged about an unnamed and unseen boyfriend who gave her a $100,000 Bentley, which is sitting in her driveway.

"I am blessed to have someone in my life that is not only great but also spoils me," she said. "Hello, Bentley!"

Come on Kenya! At least give the dude a good nickname  if he's not going to be on screen. (Take a note from former RHOA castmate Kim Zolciak and her memorable nickname for her sugar daddy back in 2008 "Big Poppa" for Lee Najjar.)

- Porsha's mediation session with separated hubby Kordell does not resolve anything. She had talked to him earlier and he asked her to go back to the house. She refused. So the process of divorce won't stop.  Her attorney Randy Kessler told her she needed to throw a $$$ amount to Kordell and negotiate an amenable settlement.

Kenya wants to have a child! Some woman claims that Kandi's fiance Todd is an opportunist.  I don't know who this woman is. Maybe someone in blog land knows?

RATINGS

Last week's show, while not bad, certainly surprised me with the audience size: a series record 4.52 million viewers. This lifts the series to 3.6 million average viewers so far this season through 10 episodes, up from about 3 million through the first 10 episodes of season 5. As I've noted before, this is by far the most popular season of the show to date. With RHOA competing with the Golden Globes, I expect a major dropoff on live watching of RHOA this Sunday.
