This fall, the syndicated TV world lost talks shows led by Bethenny Frankel, Arsenio Hall and Katie Couric and picked up new programs hosted by Meredith Vieira, Craig Ferguson and a chatty group of women called "The Real" akin to "The Talk" and "The View."
In Atlanta, Dr. Oz changes stations, moving to WSB-TV from Fox 5, replacing Couric.
Here are notable changes in the lineups of the local TV stations outside of primetime:
Channel 2/WSB-TV (ABC)
"Dr. Oz" replaced Katie Couric's talk show at 3 p..m., starting last Monday, Sept. 8.

"The Meredith Vieira Show" debuted at 2 a.m. Sept. 8. By the time this show was made available, Channel 2 had already committed to Dr. Oz. While that is not an idyllic time slot, a WSB spokesman said "our 24/7 ratings strength convinced the distributor that 2 a.m. on Channel 2 was an opportunity for the show." (If that isn't a good time to watch live, if you happen to have a DVR, this might be a good time to use it.)
WXIA (11 Alive/NBC)
There are no weekday changes for 11 Alive this fall for its syndicated schedule.
WATL-TV/36
The network's daytime schedule remains the same. (That includes triple helpings of "Maury" and "Jerry Springer" during the day) At night after primetime, the network will air "Cougar Town" from 11 to midnight (replacing "30 Rock" and "Everybody Loves Raymond"), "Hot in Cleveland" at midnight (replacing "30 Rock") and "Raising Hope" at 12:30 a.m. (replacing "Cheaters').
WGCL-TV (CBS 46)
The network dumped its 9 a.m. "Better Mornings" show but brought back a new noon newscast starting Monday, Sept. 15, followed by a new "pay for play" lifestyle show called "Atlanta Plugged In" at 12:30 p.m. The national lifestyle show "The Better Show" was moved from noon to 9 a.m., replacing "Better Mornings."
Peachtree TV (Channel 7)
On Sept. 15, "Judge Mablean" joins the daily lineup at 2 p.m., replacing "Judge Alex." This is followed Sept. 22 by a new "Hot Bench" judge show at 3 p.m. produced by the folks who do "Judge Judy." That replaces "King of Queens" reruns.

Starting Sept. 22., at 5 p.m. "Rules of Engagement" and "How I Met Your Mother" replaces "The Trisha Goddard Show."
