Life after 'American Idol': Sundance Head, Ryan Seacrest, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson

This was posted by Rodney Ho on the AJC Radio & TV Talk blog on Friday, November 11, 2016

Sundance Head, who almost landed in the top 12 season six on "American Idol," made the top 12 nine years later on "The Voice" this week after the first live performance show on Monday.

His soulful sound on Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color" was very different from the original. He was able to nab one of the three slots on Team Blake, courtesy of the fans in live voting. He has clearly matured since his "Idol" days. And he's been building a fan base. He came in fourth on the MJ's Big Blog among fans.

He has a realistic path to the finals.

Ryan Seacrest isn't getting married but his sister just did. He was his younger sister's Man of Honor at her wedding a few days ago.

He posted a few Instagram photos of his sister Meredith and his mom Connie.

The wedding was held in Mexico. More details in People.

Meredith, executive director and COO of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, married Jimmy Leach, a senior executive at TOMS.
