The CW offered up super early renewals for 13 shows, including three shot in metro Atlanta: “Legacies,” “Black Lightning” and “Dynasty.”

This will be season 3 for “Legacies” and seasons 4 for both “Black Lightning” and “Dynasty.”

The other 10 shows guaranteed a slot in the 2020-21 schedule:

- “Batwoman and “Nancy Drew” (second seasons)

- “All American,” “In the Dark,” “Roswell, New Mexico,” “Charmed” (third seasons)

“Riverdale” (fifth season)

- “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow”  and “Supergirl” (sixth seasons)

- “The Flash” (seventh season)

In other words, every show not expected to end this season will come back.

According to Deadline.com, networks have an incentive to clear shows early.

"TV studios are getting into a writers strike preparation mode ahead of the upcoming contract negotiations with the WGA. Early pickups for next season would allow for shows to get finished scripts in the pipeline ahead of time and the impact from a possible writers' work stoppage would be limited."
