WSB-TV and Channel 2 Action News is airing a special tonight at 8 p.m. called "Atlanta Unite."

"The recent protests in Atlanta, sparked by the violence in Baton Rouge, Minneapolis and Dallas, raise many serious issues for all of us living here," said Tim McVay, Vice President and General Manager for WSB-TV in a press release. "This local program brings together local residents, community leaders and law enforcement representatives who give voice to those issues and the potential solutions."

Channel 2 anchors Jovita Moore, Craig Lucie and Fred Blankenship will moderate a discussion with local residents.

The program will also be live-streamed on wsbtv.com and the station's apps. Viewers can follow the social conversation on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat under the Hashtag, #AtlantaUnite

Will Packer, esteemed Atlanta producer, thought he had a hit on his hands by bringing comic Mike Epps into a starring role in ABC's "Uncle Buck," a re-imagining of the John Candy film that debuted last month.

Unfortunately, ABC cancelled the series quickly despite passable ratings.

Atlanta-based TNT and TBS recently announced three key renewals: both TNT's "Animal Kingdom" and TBS's "Wrecked" for second seasons and TBS comedy "Angie Tribeca" for a third.
