The Hollywood Reporter reports that BET has commissioned a three night mini-series about New Edition for 2016.
Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant are involved as producers but former Atlantan Bobby Brown has yet to sign on.
DeVoe was once a realtor in Atlanta but I don't think he lives here anymore.
The group had several hits three decades ago including "Candy Girl," "If It Isn't Love,'"Cool It Now" and "Mr. Telephone Man" as teens. Brown left the group in 1985 to carve out his own solo career. Tresvant joined the group later. Gill and Bell Biv DeVoe also had several hits. All six united briefly in the 1990s and for a tour earlier this decade.

WE-TV's Atlanta-based reality show "Cuttin' It: In the ATL" about local hair stylists will be back for a second season.
There will be 10 new episodes, presumably in 2016. While WE-TV said that 4.5 million viewers caught the show any given week, I presume that includes on-demand, DVR and live viewers.

Dallas mega preacher T.D. Jakes is testing a talk show for three weeks in four markets, including Atlanta. He will be seen from Monday, August 17 through Friday, September 11 at 2 p.m. on 11 Alive (WXIA-TV).
According to the publicist:
In one of his first shows, he sits down with the mothers of Sandra Bland, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown and Tamir Rice. In another show, he talks with Zach Anderson, who is at the center of a national controversy after being convicted of having a sexual relationship with a girl he met online who claimed she was 17, only later to admit she lied about her age and that she is only 14.
This test follows similar ones this summer on Fox 5 in Atlanta for Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker and the combo of Ice T and CoCo.
