The biggest show of the week is the return of "24" after a four-year break on Fox.
Jack Bauer and Chloe return with a familiar plotline: Jack has gone rogue but wants to save the president from an assassination attempt! There is a change of scenery: London. And Chloe has dark hair and she herself is now part of the underground. Plus, the topics now include drones and hackers. And we only see 12 of the 24 hours so perhaps Jack can get some shut eye here and there. But otherwise, it's very very familiar. Jack uses his urgent, aggressive vocal tone while Chloe looks pained.
And VH1's hottest show 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" returns for its third season under a lot of heat, thanks to Mimi Faust's sex tape. Ratings have been very strong and may be even stronger thanks to that salacious tape came out a couple weeks ago. VH1 is even airing a second new episode Wednesday.
For critics, the beloved FX show "Louie" returns Monday and as usual, there are no linear plot lines. Every episode is structured differently.
Several shows are also ending their seasons and all of them are set to return next season. A&E's "Bates Motel" Monday, Fox's 'New Girl" and "Mindy Project" Tuesday, CBS's "Two and a Half Men" Thursday and CBS's "Blue Bloods" and "Hawaii Five-O" Friday.
