The first full week of the Olympics continues this week with swimming, beach volleyball and men's gymnastics among the prime-time sporting events to be aired on NBC.

Of course, sister stations are airing plenty of coverage of the Rio Olympics as well as on-demand options to stream.

Interest in this Olympics seems to be less than London four years ago but it's a little early to know that for sure. The tape-delayed opener last Friday drew 26.5 million total viewers, down 35% from the all-time audience high of London, which had 40.7 million on July 27, 2012. This is the lowest opener since 2004. But at the same time, this doesn't include people streaming the opening as well.

Very few networks are daring to debut anything of note while the Olympics are on though Lifetime is wrapping "Devious Maids" and "Unreal" Monday, while VH1 finished up season five of 'Love and Hip Hop Atlanta." No word yet from Lifetime whether they plan to bring back "Devious Maids" (shot in Atlanta) for season five but Lifetime has already given "Unreal" a third season. VH1 is certain to bring back "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" for a sixth season given its consistently strong ratings.

Plus, TNT is closing shop for the season on "Animal Kingdom," which has been renewed for a second season.
