TV best bets with Emmys, season finales of 'Falling Skies,' 'Covert Affairs,' 'Pretty Little Liars'

The annual Emmys will air Monday night on NBC featuring Seth Meyers as host. Expect a lot of references to Netflix, Matthew McConaughey, "Veep" and "Game of Thrones." And will "Breaking Bad" get a happy farewell with a clutch of Emmy wins?

Plus, the summer is nearing its end and the broadcast networks are about to start their traditional fall seasons.

Among summer season finales: ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" and USA's 'Covert Affairs" Tuesday, ABC's "Motive" and HGTV's "Property Brothers" Wednesday, Syfy's "Defiance" Thursday and TNT's "Falling Skies' Sunday.

MONDAY

"66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards" 8 p.m. NBC — Seth Meyers hosts the 66th annual celebration at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. "Game of Thrones" leads all programs with 19 nominations.

"Masterchef " 8 p.m. Fox — The Top 7 chefs compete in a challenge involving savory apple dishes.

"Love & Hip Hop Atlanta " 8 p.m. VH1 — It's reunion time.

"T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle " 9 p.m. VH1 (fourth season summer debut) — A new family business venture centers on lemonade.

"Atlanta Exes " 9:30 p.m. VH1 — Christina tries to bring peace to the group in the aftermath of Tameka's drama-soaked event.

"Hotel Hell " 9 p.m. Fox — Ramsay assists a Vermont hotel owner whose pet-friendly policy has gotten out of hand.

"America's Next Top Model " 9 p.m. the CW — The semi-finalists take part in a rigorous Los Angeles subway challenge to model outfits covering various seasons.

"Dallas " 10 p.m. TNT — News of a family death puts a dark cloud over Southfork.

"Under the Dome " 10 p.m. CBS — Barbie is apprehended by a group of mysterious men who interrogate him about his connection to the Dome.

"Mistresses " 10:01 p.m. ABC — As April works with the FBI to help them find Paul, she tries to keep Lucy in the dark about what's going on between her and Daniel.

TUESDAY

"Pretty Little Liars" 8 p.m. ABC Family (fifth season summer finale) — Alison looks for new allies after the girls turn on her, and the girls seek help from Mona since "A" won't allow them to contact the police.

"America's Got Talent" 9 p.m. NBC — Twelve of the top 24 acts perform.

"Iyanla Fix My Life" 9 p.m. OWN (special) — Iyanla visits Ferguson, Missouri.

"Rizzoli & Isles " 9 p.m. TNT — A man dies suspiciously in a bathtub full of ice during a heat wave

"Royal Pains " 9 p.m. USA — Hank treats Cinco's wrist injury while Evan and Paige help Emma catch Oz.

"Covert Affairs " 10 p.m. USA (fifth season summer finale) — Despite Auggie's wishes, Annie helps McQuaid with a tough mission.

"Finding Carter " 10 p.m. MTV — This show shot in Atlanta has been renewed for a second season.

"Hard Knocks " 10 p.m. HBO — The intensity of training camp heats up as fifteen players are cut from the Falcons roster.
