David Letterman, the groundbreaking late-night host, retires in less than three weeks. In the meantime, CBS is giving him a 90-minute special Monday hosted by Ray Romano featuring highlights from his thousands of shows on both NBC (when he followed Johnny Carson) and on NBC after he lost out to Jay Leno as Carson's successor.

HBO on Monday is also introducing a fascinating inside look at Kurt Cobain's life using tapes and writings from Cobain himself that nobody has ever seen before.

Then you have season finales galore including Fox's "Gotham" (Monday), Fox's "New Girl" (Tuesday), CBS's 'Criminal Minds" (Wednesday), CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" (Thursday), CBS's 'Hawaii Five-O" (Friday), CBS's "The Good Wife" (Sunday) and ABC's 'Once Upon a Time" (Sunday).

ABC is also ending 'Revenge" Sunday after four seasons.

Plus, check out former Atlantan Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin doing TV together for the first time on Netflix (since I count that as TV although it's not on TV). They star on a show called "Grace and Frankie" with Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston that comes out Friday.

These highlights cover Monday, May 4, 2015 through Sunday, May 10, 2015
