Caleb Johnson attended Jena Irene's prom a few days ago fulfilling a promise he made during the show.

Sure, he's 23 years old and way too old for a prom but they say they are just good friends.

You can see photos of Jena Irene in a prom dress here. Caleb did not wear a tux.

Asciutto, 17, looked stylish and sweet in a strapless cream-colored gown, while rocker Johnson, 23 – who declared himself "probably the antithesis" of previous American Idol winners – eschewed the traditional tuxedo in favor of a button-down shirt, black pants and a leather jacket.

Caleb already has to put together an album in record time. It's set for release August 12. I'm not sure any winner has gotten a record out that fast. Jena Irene is going to graduation, then both join the "Idols Live" tour later this month.

Season 7's David Archuletta is back from a two-year mission for the Church of Latter-Day Saints and working on new music. Check out his new video explaining that he is not dead and not being lazy. "I'm working. I am writing. I'm getting to know me, figuring out who I am," he said, his voice sounding deeper than I recall from 2008 when he came in second behind David Cook.

Phillip Phillips' "Raging Fire" is holding at No. 7 on the Mediabase 24/7/ Hot AC chart.  That pretty much covers "American Idol" contestants on the charts.

Season 7's Paul McDonald, based on his Twitter feed, has been in Atlanta working on tracks in Buford. He has eaten at Farm Burger and provided this  commentary we can all relate to:

I forgot how much fun it is sitting in Atlanta traffic. #Goodtimes http://t.co/8b9cwAfwuM
