Six months after Hot 107.9 graced Philips Arena with its 20th anniversary Birthday Bash, fellow R&B/hip-hop station V-103 is celebrating its 40th anniversary Winterfest on Dec. 19 in the same place with acts heavily weighted toward Atlanta and R&B.

Four of the acts are local: Keith Sweat, Silk, 112 and Jagged Edge. The other two are Tyrese and Bell Biv Devoe. Unnamed "special guests" are listed as well so expect a few big names to make cameos.

Combined, those six acts have generated more than 50 R&B and 20 top 40 hits from the 1980s through the 2000s.

While V-103 very much embraces rap and hip hop today, its roots are in R&B, which is perhaps why the line up is focused so much on that end of the spectrum.

In comparison, the Hot 107.9 concert featured the likes of Kanye West, Future and Ludacris.

Tickets range from $33 to $103. You can buy them here.

After a few recent hiccups, V-103 has rebounded strongly this year and has a commanding lead as the No. 1 station in town as it has been for many years.
