A few weeks after their surprise reunion on the CMA Awards – and ensuing performance at the Big Machine Label Group after-party – Sugarland promised fans new music by the end of the year.

The enduring duo of Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles kept their word and have released the soaring new song, “Still the Same.” It’s that rare combination of poignant, nostalgic and inspirational and will undoubtedly thrill longtime fans who have yearned for the pair to return.

Following the release of their first new music together in five years, Sugarland has set a couple of dates in the U.K. next year, where they will perform at the Country 2 Country Festival. A U.S. tour is planned as well.

But first, fans can catch Sugarland performing lie on “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 on ABC.
