Van Morrison will play Alpharetta in spring 2016

The enigmatic Van Morrison will return to Alpharetta next spring with an April 24 show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park.
Morrison, 70, played the venue in May 2010.
Tickets for the concert, priced at $69.50-$250.50, are on sale at noon Nov. 20 through the venue box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
The renowned Irish singer behind such classics as “Have I Told You Lately” and “Moondance” released “Duets: Re-working The Catalogue” earlier this year. The project features new arrangements of lesser-known Van Morrison tracks with guests including Mavis Staples, Michael Buble and Taj Mahal.
