With the Atlanta Falcons set to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots machine on Feb. 5, it’s the ideal time for Travis Tritt to remind fans about his country-rock anthem, “Falcons Fever” (hear it below).

Tritt, a Marietta native, wrote the song in 2004. Since then, he’s performed it live during halftime, while the team played the singalong regularly throughout the years at Georgia Dome home games.

"Growing up in Marietta, I have been a lifelong Falcons fan,” said Tritt in a statement. “Obviously, I am thrilled that my home team is going to the Super Bowl this year. I have a severe case of ‘Falcons Fever’ and I will be cheering them on in Houston on February 5.”

Tritt’s 25-year career has produced 19 Top 10 hits, including “Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde,” “Here’s a Quarter” and “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.”

His most recent album is the double live CD/DVD, “A Man and His Guitar – Live from the Franklin Theatre.”

Take a listen to ‘Falcons Fever.”
