The Alabama soul band St. Paul & The Broken Bones have been tapped as openers for The Rolling Stones at their Atlanta show .

The seven-piece band, which formed in 2011, received critical plaudits for its full-length debut, “Half the City,” released last year. The album was produced by Alabama Shakes keyboardist Ben Tanner.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones was also tagged to open the July 11 date for the Stones in Buffalo, N.Y.

“In a matter of only two-and-a-half years, I went from being a part-time bank teller to having our band opening for the Stones. It really is just unbelievable,”  St. Paul vocalist Paul Janeway said in a statement.

Tickets for the Stones' June 9 appearance at Bobby Dodd Stadium are still available via www.ticketalternative.com .

The band’s Zip Code tour launches May 24 in San Diego and will visit 15 North American cities before wrapping in Quebec on July 15.

The same day as the band’s Atlanta show, the reissue of “Sticky Fingers” will arrive in various formats. The relaunch will include a version of “Brown Sugar” with Eric Clapton and a cover featuring the iconic zipper that is similar to the original vinyl packaging.

In a recent conversation with the band’s keyboardist, Georgia-based Chuck Leavell, he said he wasn’t yet sure if The Rolling Stones planned to play “Sticky Fingers” in its entirety, as has been rumored.
