'The Lion King' at the Fox Theatre, other concerts canceled due to icy roads

Simba will not roar tonight at The Fox Theatre, as the Wednesday performance of Disney's "The Lion King" has been canceled due to the icy road conditions.

All ticketholders will be refunded through their original point of purchase. Those who purchased by credit card will receive a refund automatically within five business days; to obtain a refund for a cash purchase, visit the Fox box office during operating hours (Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3p.m.). Those who purchased via a secondary ticketing outlet will need to contact that outlet regarding their refund policy.

To accommodate patrons who intended to attend the Jan. 17 performance, a matinee has been added for 1 p.m. Jan. 25. Those who purchased tickets for the  Jan. 17 "Lion King" will receive information directly from the Fox about buying tickets for the new date. Tickets for the Jan. 25 show will be available to the public at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18.

Also, the Wednesday performance by Atlanta singer Nick Hagelin, known for his 2016 run on "The Voice," has been postponed at City Winery. The show has been rescheduled for Feb. 5.

Ticketholders have the option of keeping their current tickets (and seats) for the new date or receiving a credit for use toward the purchase of any upcoming show at the venue.

The Barrel Room restaurant at City Winery will open Wednesday at 3 p.m. with a limited menu.
