Taylor Swift's recently released album "1989" is on track to break some major records by the end of this week, and now the country-turned-pop star has announced a world tour in support of the album.

Swift will hit Atlanta Oct. 24, 2015 with a stop at the Georgia Dome. Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m through Ticketmaster or by phone at 800-745-3000. The tour kicks off May 20, 2015 in Louisiana and will encompass eight countries and span four continents.

Swift will be supported on the North American leg of her tour by Australian singer Vance Joy, who played a sold-out show at Terminal West in October, and Shawn Mendes, who rose to fame on Vine and has a hit with "Life of the Party."

Swift last played Atlanta in 2013 at a sold-out Philips Arena as part of her RED Tour. Read Melissa Ruggieri's review of the show here and see photos of the show, which featured opener Ed Sheeran, here.

Swift has been working the talk show circuit of late to promote "1989," getting press for her reaction to John Cleese's description of her cat on "The Graham Norton Show":
