Metallica to play Atlanta's Suntrust Park during WorldWired 2017 tour

Metallica is coming to metro Atlanta later this year.

The band released the dates for their WorldWired 2017 tour this morning, following a performance during the Grammys last night.

The group performed with Lady Gaga, who recently announced her own tour dates following an acrobatic Super Bowl halftime show.

Metallica will perform at the Braves' Suntrust Park in Cobb County on July 9. The and released its 10th studio album, “Hardwired…to Self-Destruct,” in November.

The new baseball park is scheduled to open in two months.

Tickets for the show go on sale Feb. 17 and will start at $55.50.
