Merle Haggard's sons to pay tribute to the late singer at Chastain Park Amphitheatre show

Before his death, country music legend Merle Haggard was slated to perform with Willie Nelson this summer at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.

Now, event organizers have scheduled a tribute performance in place of his set.

Kris Kristofferson and The Strangers featuring Merle's sons, Ben and Noel Haggarad, will honor the late singer during the May 20 show.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Merle Haggard died on his 79th birthday on April 6.
