Madonna not the only singer hours late to Atlanta concerts

Exhausted because you didn’t get home until the wee hours and had to work or go to school this morning?

Madonna certainly provoked some fiery reactions from fans after keeping them waiting until three hours after the 8 p.m. posted ticket time to appear onstage at Philips Arena.

But she isn’t the only artist in recent years to blatantly disregard fans.

"Ms." Lauryn Hill is still the MVP of late-show rudeness. In January 2011, Hill performed – eventually – at Center Stage. She arrived after midnight for a show scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., and then peevishly performed the same songs over and over again.

At least Madonna’s full spectacle was on display when she finally deemed us worthy.

Later in 2011, a version of Guns N' Roses (featuring Axl Rose) came to Philips Arena and also got off to a late start (it was well after 10 p.m., but because GNR had notified fans ahead of time, this was somehow acceptable). They did perform for more than three hours, but again, MARTA riders had to bolt early or risk getting stranded.
