Lionel Richie is celebrating his three-year Las Vegas residency with a new album, "Live from Las Vegas," and a summer tour that will visit Atlanta.
The "Hello" outing kicks off May 28 in Texas and will wind its way to Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park on July 31. Tickets are $45.50-$255.50 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via www.livenation.com. (This is also a table show, so coolers and carry-ins are allowed.)
Citi cardholders can access a pre-sale from 10 a.m. March 26 through 10 p.m. March 28 at www.citiprivatepass.com.
All online tickets purchased for the tour will include a CD copy of “Live from Las Vegas,” which will be released Aug. 23. The album, recorded by the “American Idol” judge during his run at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, features radio smashes from his solo years (“All Night Long,” “Dancing on the Ceiling,” “Hello,” “Truly”) and classics from The Commodores (“Easy,” Three Times a Lady”), as well as a live performance of “We Are the World.”
Richie most recently performed in Atlanta in 2017, during a joint tour with Mariah Carey.
