Lauryn Hill will celebrate anniversary of 'Miseducation' with summer tour coming to Atlanta

Lauryn Hill will remind fans of the potency of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” with a 20th anniversary tour this summer.

Hill will perform the songs from her classic album, which arrived in August 1998 and has sold more than eight million copies on the strength of hits such as “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Ex-Factor” and “Everything is Everything.”

Her tour, which kicks off July 5 in Virginia Beach, will wind its way to Atlanta with a performance at 6 p.m. Aug. 3 at State Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park (this will be a no-table setup show, so coolers and carry-ins are not allowed).

Tickets for the Atlanta date are $27.50-$228.50. A Citi card pre-sale is available now at and the general public on sale kicks off at 10 a.m. April 20, also via and by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Hill angered Atlanta fans in May 2016 when she showed up hours late to her performance , which then only lasted a few songs due to the noise ordinance in place at Chastain.

The singer-songwriter-rapper made amends with a February 2017 show at the Tabernacle.
