Kristian Bush will bring a little “Southern Gravity” to the Variety Playhouse this summer when he performs his first-ever full-band, full-set solo show in Atlanta.

Bush, who has been traveling the world playing live shows to promote his recently released "Southern Gravity" solo debut – he popped by Shaky Boots last month for a rollicking set of new tunes and Sugarland hits – will hit the Variety at 8 p.m. Aug. 1.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of show.

The concert will also be filmed for a documentary being produced by Cumulus Media and Sinclair Broadcast group.

"I am thrilled to be finally bringing my full show to my hometown. These musicians and songs have traveled the world with me already, taking the new album to audiences night after night, and it is definitely time for a homecoming,” Bush said. “I can't wait for my fans in Atlanta to get to hear a full show. I hope it shakes your hips and explodes your heart."

If you haven't had a chance to check out our recent interview (and video) with Bush, you can find it here .

Take a listen to the new single from Bush's "Southern Gravity" album, called "Light Me Up."
