Following the death of Glenn Frey, Showtime will re-air its “History of the Eagles” documentary several times this week.

The two-part special will be shown in its entirety when it airs at 8 p.m. Jan. 19 on SHO2 and 7:55 p.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, respectively, on Showtime.

The film, which originally aired on Showtime in February 2013 after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, features concert footage, rare home movies of the band, interviews with band members and other key figures from the ‘70s music scene.

Frey, who died Monday in New York at the age of 67, was memorialized by longtime friend and fellow Detroit native Bob Seger, who told their hometown Detroit Free Press that Frey had been hospitalized since November and placed in a coma several times as specialists tried to "keep him alive."
