As it’s only January, it’s a bit too early to hand out any musical trophies.

But it isn’t much of a stretch to conclude that Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song” will still be one of the catchiest of the year come December.

The soaring chorus – a Clarkson trademark – and the song’s polished groove coated in just the right amount of synths point to instant hit-dom.

“Heartbeat Song” is produced by Greg Kurstin and will be on Clarkson’s upcoming album, “Piece By Piece,” her first album since 2013’s Christmas outing, “Wrapped in Red.”
