A rare live Al Green sighting will take place this spring, when the soul legend visits the Fox Theatre.

The voice behind “Let’s Stay Together,” “Tired of Being Alone” and gospel favorites “Nearer My God to Thee” and “I’ll Rise Again” is playing a handful of dates, including May 3 at the Fox – his first time performing at the venue. (His last Atlanta concert appears to be at Music Midtown in 2001.)

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show – which includes openers The War and Treaty – will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 8 for $50.50-$130.50.

Green, 72, will also perform at the 50th anniversary of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 28.
