A few days ago, Cee Lo Green released the latest single from his upcoming album, “Heart Blanche,” the silky, thought-provoking “Sign of the Times.”

On Wednesday, he unveiled the animated video for the song, which heavily samples Bob James’ “Angela” – aka, the theme from “Taxi.” Green is such a pop culture fanatic that his choice of song sample isn’t surprising – not to mention, it’s a fantastic melody.

“Sign of the Times,” with its lilting “why can’t we open our eyes to the sign of the times?” refrain is the second single from the Atlanta native’s upcoming album, which is due Nov. 13.

Earlier this summer, he released the track "Robin Williams," along with a crazy-interactive video.

“Heart Blanche” will be Green’s first album since 2010’s “The Lady Killer.”
