Carrie Underwood has always been regarded as a hard worker. But even by her standards, announcing a new tour and a new baby simultaneously is noteworthy.
Country’s endearing princess – who just last week revealed she’ll return to co-host the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley for the 11th year – will embark on her “Cry Pretty” tour in May.
Underwood shared the baby news with fans in a social media video Wednesday morning, explaining that the tour to support her upcoming “Cry Pretty” album – due Sept. 14 – won’t begin until spring 2019 because she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting their second child.
The tour launches in Greensboro, N.C., but Atlanta fans will have to wait until the last chunk of the run – Oct. 19, 2019 - at Philips Arena. Tickets for the show, priced at $49.50-$99.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 17 via www.ticketmaster.com. VIP packages, which include a meet and greet and custom merchandise, are also available.
A pre-sale for Citi cardholders is open from 10 a.m. Aug. 13 through 10 p.m. Aug. 16 (visit www.citiprivatepass.com).
Underwood will perform, as she often does, in the round (hence the "Cry Pretty Tour 360") and will be joined by an all-girl bill featuring Maddie & Tae and Runaway Jane.
