Brian Wilson bringing 'Pet Sounds' tour to Atlanta

Brian Wilson has added a handful of new dates for his upcoming tour to celebrate “Pet Sounds,” and Atlanta is part of the plan.

Wilson and his excellent band, as well as former bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, will perform at the Fox Theatre at 8 p.m. Sept. 9. Tickets are $46.50-$76.50. (Info here.)

The general on-sale is 10 a.m. Feb. 19. A pre-sale will begin on Feb. 17; fans can sign up for the Rival Entertainment email list at  to receive the password next week.

The iconic musician is performing “Pet Sounds” in honor of its 50th anniversary – and for the last time. Much like Springsteen’s current tour paying homage to “The River,” Wilson will play “Pet Sounds” in its entirety and follow it with a spate of hits and fan favorites from The Beach Boys and his solo career.

Wilson performed at the Fox last June with cult hero Rodriguez opening the show.
