Fans of the former Stray Cats frontman are used to seeing him around the holidays, but this year, Setzer is taking his “Rockabilly Riot!” on the road for the summer. Setzer is set to perform solo material and Stray Cats classics and will be joined by Noah Levy on drums, Kevin McKendree on piano/guitar and Mark Winchester on bass.

Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash
With its usual home of Philips Arena closed for renovations this summer, the annual hip-hop extravaganza moves outside to Lakewood. Fronting this year's lineup are Yo Gotti, Blac Youngsta, Plies and Young Thug. They'll be joined by TK Kravitz, Jacquees, Ball Greezy, Lil Baby and Hoodrich Pablo Juan.

Last year, the band already stocked with a trove of hits (“Renegade,” “Too Much Time on My Hands,” “Mr. Roboto”) released its first new studio album in 14 years, the sonically lush “The Mission.” So nope, they aren’t done yet. Joining them is the equally durable Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (a lauded Jett-focused documentary is due in theaters this year) and “Love Song” rockers Tesla.

Daryl Hall and John Oates and Train
Don’t bring up the “r” word around Daryl Hall. In a recent interview with the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the soulful singer was asked if, like some of his peers, he’s contemplated retirement. “I don’t get it,” he said. “It’s one thing I can do that I completely control my own environment. I’m a singer, man, I like to get in front of people and sing.” He, longtime partner Oates and the guys in Train recently released the collaborative single, “Philly Forget Me Not.”

It’s been a busy first half of 2018 for the Maryland-born rapper. – in In January he was nominated for a pair of Grammy Awards for his chillingly effective suicide prevention anthem, “1-800-273-8255,” and soon afterward announced his defiantly titled “Bobby Tarantino vs. Everybody” tour. The summer outing follows the release of his mixtape, “Bobby Tarantino II,” with guests including Atlanta’s 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa. Oh, and if you didn’t already know, Bobby Tarantino is Logic’s birth name.
