This spring, the Atlanta-based hard rockers released their seventh studio album, "Emperor of Sand," which focuses heavily on themes of death and mortality. In a Facebook Live interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in April, the band's drummer Brann Dailor explained why they featured darker themes. A3C Festival
The 13th annual A3C hip-hop-centered festival and conference will wrap with a two-day outdoor gathering at the Georgia Freight Depot. The Fool's Gold Day Off multi-city music festival will take over A3C on Saturday with a lineup including A-Trak, Rich Homie Quan, Zaytoven and Project Pat. On Sunday, Nas headlines a day of music that also features Dave East, Just Blaze, Dead Prez and AZ with DJ Doo Wop.

Project Pabst
The second installment of Project Pabst Atlanta will take over East Atlanta Village with a lineup including Iggy Pop, Dinosaur Jr., Peaches and The Internet on the main stage. The festival launched in Portland in 2014 and expanded into a four-city festival last year – its first in Atlanta. In addition to the main stage, the Earl Stage will feature Gentleman Jesse & His Men, Withered, The Difference Machine and more, while five acts, including RMBLR and Goldyard, will perform on an outdoor stage. Those who want a break from the music can hang out in the PBRcade, where old school video games will be set up, check out the PBR Vandalism interactive graffiti art display and Pabst Wax, where vinyl recordings that fans create themselves will be made on the spot.

Crock Fest
The collision of country and rock (get it, “Crock”?) returns for its third installment with a lineup starring Toby Keith, ZZ Top, Midland and Cracker featuring Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ singer Kevn Kinney. The annual gathering is a joint production from Carl Black Automotive, country station Kicks 101.5 and rock station Rock 100.5. This will mark Keith’s first performance in Atlanta since 2015; ZZ Top performed last October at the Laid Back Festival, sharing what turned out to be Gregg Allman’s final performance.

Harry Styles
He doesn’t have an extensive repertoire yet, but that will hardly matter to the screaming hordes who will flock to see the (former-for-now) One Direction hunk in an intimate setting. According to early reviews, Styles sounds great, performs his entire solo album, a 1D hit and, furthering his rock cred, Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.”

Wilco
In their 23 years of existence, the renowned Chicago band has consistently kept their Americana-rock fresh, but familiar. The band is touring behind its 10th studio album, “Schmilco,” and also celebrating the release of frontman Jeff Tweedy’s solo album, “Together At Last.” After their Atlanta date, the band will play a handful of November shows before breaking from the road for most, if not all, of 2018.

Gorillaz
The cartoon band masterminded by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett released “Humanz” in April, featuring Jehnny Beth of Savages, Anthony Hamilton, Mavis Staples, Pusha T and tour opener D.R.A.M. The “Humanz Tour” features Albarn and musicians Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, Russel Hobbs and 2D.
