Although her character, Kate Pearson, is a late-in-life aspiring singer on NBC’s smash drama “This Is Us,” Metz is zipping around the country on a tour to promote her memoir, “This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today.” Metz will be joined by author Emily Giffin, who will moderate a conversation focusing on life lessons and advice. Each ticket includes a copy of Metz’s book, and the VIP ticket ($95) adds a meet and greet/photo opportunity, a signed copy of the book and a reserved ticket within the first five rows.

North Mississippi Acoustic Allstars
Mississippi brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson have teamed with singer-songwriter Anders Osborne to create a hybrid version of the Dickinsons’ enduring Southern blues-rock band. Each show will feature a trip through the catalogs of North Mississippi Allstars and Osborne presented together in one set, both electric and acoustic.

V-103 Live Pop-Up Concert
"The People's Station" is bringing another marquee lineup to its hometown with a sorta-pop-up-show (can it be considered a "pop-up" if it's announced more than a month in advance?) topped by Gucci Mane, Migos and 2 Chainz. Joining them are Rich Homie Quan and K Camp. But if last year's Pop-Up show is an indicator , expect a parade of guest stars to, uh, pop out throughout the night.

Booker T. Jones
The renowned Memphis Stax musician, known as the frontman for Booker T. & the M.G.’s, will join ATL Collective for a show dubbed “Funk to the People,” which will celebrate James Brown’s 1968 Boston concert. That show, which took place the day after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., is remembered for remaining peaceful in the wake of riots around the country following King’s death. Jones, whose M.G.’s were one of the first racially integrated rock bands, is a member of the 1992 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2007.

Phil Vassar
The Lynchburg, Va., native has churned out hits since the ‘90s, when he penned chart-toppers for Tim McGraw (“My Next Thirty Years”), Alan Jackson (“Right on the Money”) and Jo Dee Messina (“I’m Alright”), among others. His solo singing career has been rolling for nearly 18 years, and in 2016 he released his ninth album, “American Soul Summer.”
