Alanis Morissette will celebrate "Jagged Little Pill" on tour in summer 2020.

Alanis Morissette will celebrate 25 years of ‘Jagged Little Pill’ with summer tour coming to Alpharetta

It doesn’t feel like 25 years since Alanis Morissette released her landmark “Jagged Little Pill” album, but, indeed it will be in 2020 when the singer embarks on an anniversary tour.

Morissette will kick off the 31-date tour in Oregon and perform at 7 p.m. June 20 at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta. She’ll be joined by Garbage and Liz Phair.

Tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. Dec. 13 via www.livenation.com, but various pre-sales will begin at 11 a.m. Dec. 10. A Citi cardmember pre-sale will take place from 11 a.m. Dec. 11 through noon Dec. 12.

With each transaction, fans will receive a download of Morissette’s new song, “Reasons I Drink,” as well as a digital download of her upcoming album, “Such Pretty Forks in the Road,” due May 1.

It’s a busy month for Morissette, who will also celebrate the Broadway debut of the “Jagged Little Pill” musical on Dec. 5 at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York. Morissette wrote the lyrics and music for the production with Glen Ballard and Diablo Cody crafted the book. Visit www.telecharge.com for ticket info.
