The new I-75 South Metro Express Lane s in Clayton and Henry counties will open around lunch time Saturday. But there's also news about the other metro Atlanta toll lanes that are under construction.

The Northwest Corridor Express Lanes project is now 66 percent complete, the Georgia Department of Transportation says. The $834 million project will add 30 miles of express toll lanes on I-75 and I-575 in Cobb and Cherokee counties.

This year construction will continue on the express lanes access ramps near Big Shanty Road and Terrell Mill Road, GDOT says. The Hickory Grove Road Bridge on I-75 will be mostly finished this spring. Construction also will begin for sound barriers on I-75 north of the I-575 interchange.

The Northwest Corridor Express Lanes are expected to be finished in 2018.
