As we reported Monday, the Atlanta Braves want fans to break some old Turner Field habits when it comes to attending games at SunTrust Park.

Namely: Stop showing up without tickets and parking reservations. The idea is to prevent fans from driving around looking for parking – making traffic worse while they’re doing it.

To encourage fans to plan ahead, the Braves are promoting fan and traffic apps. For those who want to drive, the team recommends the Major League Baseball ballpark app, which allows people to buy tickets and parking in advance – even on the way to the game.

To help fans get to the game, the team and Cobb County have partnered with Waze, the traffic app. Waze will guide fans directly to their parking lot, while the county feeds the app real-time traffic information.

You can read more about plans to keep traffic moving around SunTrust Park in Sunday's Atlanta Journal-Constitution. You'll find more information about parking for Braves games here.
