Watch this cat rob me! Then check out this party for Good Mews

Well I am sorry to say my bratty little cat Walter has turned to a life of crime. HA! Look at this little monster rummaging through my purse.

I don't think he actually intended to rob me. Rather I think he wanted to take a nap and my purse was in the way.

Anyway Walter's little crime spree happened to coincide with news of Good Mews' upcoming fundraiser, planned for 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Wimbish House in Midtown Atlanta, 1150 Peachtree Street NE.

The 1920s-themed party, billed as (ahem) "Great Catsby," encourages vintage attire.

Tickets are $75 in advance or $90 at the door. The event features nibbles from Soiree Catering and beer and wine, along with live jazz. Proceeds benefit the work of Good Mews, a no-kill shelter that finds homes for abandoned or abused felines. It's located at  736 Johnson Ferry Road in east Cobb, in the Fountains of Old Towne shopping center. Since 1988, Good Mews has found permanent homes for more than 7,000 cats, all of which I'd venture to say are better behaved than my little monster here!
