Aretha Franklin, at age 72, took Adele's fierce anthem "Rolling in the Deep" and made it her own during a powerful performance on "Late Night With David Letterman."

Mixing in a little "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" for good measure, Franklin belted out the number and brought the house down.
