President Donald Trump tweeted a while ago that he'd be conferring "Fake News" awards to various media outlets the evening of Jan. 8, but the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship may have gotten in the way.

On that date, perhaps chosen for its close proximity to the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 7, Trump was marching onto the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta ( with this group of UGA ROTC cadets ), where Georgia's heart would soon break thanks to Alabama's overtime victory.

So: back to the Fake News Awards. They're supposedly happening Wednesday although we haven't heard many details. Will there be a red carpet? Celebrity hosts? Entertainment, monologues? Or just Trump tweeting about reporters he says misconstrue facts? Stay tuned..
