An online protest including many in the arts community is outraged over Old Navy t-shirts disparaging artists, but are the T-shirts real? Tech Insider reached out to Old Navy for clarification on Tuesday; no response yet. Old Navy also has not responded to an AJC query.
Nashville artist and illustrator Kelly McKernan, an Atlanta native who earned her BFA from Kennesaw State University, is among those speaking out. She posted this on her official, verified Facebook page:

"This is deeply disappointing," she told her nearly 90,000 followers.
The shirts are not on Old Navy's web site. The company has not addressed the matter via its Twitter account, possibly because the team is staying busy addressing other issues at the moment:
