Hollywood has pretty much relocated to Atlanta and the rest of Georgia thanks to our state's incredible talent base, diversity of locations - and enticing tax credits. Netflix is growing its presence along with major studio productions and network series.
"Stranger Things," a creepy retro series starring Winona Ryder, has just announced a second season after its first was met with widespread acclaim.
Meanwhile actor Jason Bateman, whose work in metro Atlanta includes “Office Christmas Party,” due out in December, as well as “Identity Thief” and “The Change-Up,” has been back most recently for a new Netflix project of his own.
He’ll star in, direct and executive-produce the new Netflix project, called “Ozark,” which Deadline reports will “take place in the dark and dangerous world of drug-money laundering. The series takes its name from the location where it is set, The Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.”
It's been filming at Lake Allatoona, where Bateman posed for this great photo with a member of Cherokee County's finest!
