Festival goers enjoyed talented performers while checking out vendor tents offering food, arts, crafts and fashion items.

Merlyn and Norris Gore chose a park bench near the fountain where they were able to enjoy all the event had to offer.

"We came last year and we're back again this year," Merlyn Gore said. "Good talent, good food and good weather. It's great to relax and enjoy the day."

Felicia and Johnnie Gordon Sr. were front and center while their sons Johnnie, 9, and Jaylon, 8, performed. (Check out the guys' web site here).

"It was a true honor," Jaylon said.

Here's a short clip of their performance. They're great!

Nikki Moore and Tasha Hayes enjoyed a bite of lunch while keeping an eye on their kids, playing nearby. Given the horrific events of the week, they were glad to have a fun event to look forward to over the weekend.

"The fellowship, the community coming together is a great thing," Moore said. "It's a good, positive vibe. It's a mix of every walk of life enjoying the day. It just has a good,  good spirit."

Hayes agreed, adding, "It's nice to congregate when there's not something wrong."
