Lawyers for Bobbi Kristina Brown's father, Bobby Brown, and her grandmother and aunt, Cissy and Pat Houston, issued a joint statement on Friday saying that Bobby Brown and Pat Houston have been named co-guardians as the 22-year-old remains hospitalized following a Jan. 31 medical emergency. A third party was granted authority to handle Bobbi Kristina's financial matters.

Pat Houston was the sister-in-law and manager of the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina's mother. Both she and Cissy have been among the family members at Bobbi Kristina's bedside during these past several months.

"Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi's care and medical needs," the statement reads. "The Court has also appointed Bedelia Hargrove as the Conservator for Krissi. Ms. Hargrove is responsible for Krissi's assets, including her likeness, rights and legal claims."

Despite reports of tension among the two sides of Bobbi Kristina's family during her long medical ordeal, the statement strikes a friendly note of harmony:

"Both parties are delighted with the Court's decision and are working harmoniously to ensure Krissi receives the best possible medical care. We are appreciative of the manner in which Judge Jeryl Debra Rosh handled this matter."

Steve Worrall, an estate planning, probate and adoption attorney at The Manely Firm in Marietta, explained the differences between guardianship vs conservator.

"A conservator would have the authority to make financial decisions," he said. "Certainly somebody needs to handle her financial affairs.”

That somebody is now Hargrove.

Meanwhile Bobbi Kristina's beau Nick Gordon has begun reaching out following a stint in rehab after an interview turned intervention on the "Dr. Phil" show.

Dr. Phil said Nick Gordon was "high as a kite" during the interview, which was conducted in Atlanta.

Nick evidently took his advice. His brother Jack Walker recently told "Extra's" AJ Calloway that he'd turned his life around.

It's unclear how warmly Nick might be received by his girlfriend's family, though. Bobbi Kristina's aunt blasted Nick's visit with Dr. Phil.

Roswell police have been investigating since Bobbi Kristina was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub of her North Fulton County home. Nick filed, then withdrew court documents to thwart search warrant and later issued a statement referencing "law enforcement".

He recently updated his Twitter profile photo to an image of the two of them together. "I could never give up. I love you," he wrote.
