There's a new power hitter out at Turner Field. Uber on Tuesday was named the "Preferred Ride of the Atlanta Braves."

In an effort "to save fans time, money and stress getting to and from the ballpark," the team said, there'll be a designated "Uber Zone" located outside Turner Field on Hank Aaron Drive, south of Bass Street. That's where Uber drivers will pick up fans and take them home or wherever else they're headed post-game (no self-respecting Braves fan would leave a game early, right?).

What's more, Uber riders can get 50 percent off game tickets through the end of the season by purchasing them at www.Braves.com/uber and entering the promo code 'UBER." And UberPOOL riders can share rides to or from the Ted for 50 percent less than the cost of uberX.

“Teaming up with Uber makes the game experience even more seamless for our fans,” said Adam Zimmerman, vice president of marketing for the Atlanta Braves. “We are proud to bring them on as our Preferred Ride and look forward to a future of innovation and collaboration.”

It's not the first time the Braves and Uber have worked together. Back on Opening Day on April 4, Uber offered free rides to the game to the first 500 people who signed up. Now, apparently, there are no such roster limitations!

It all starts with the next home game on Thursday, when the once-mighty New York Mets (heh, heh!) come to town after being swept by the Bravos last weekend.
