JetBlue Airways plans to return to Atlanta.

JetBlue recently sent a letter of interest to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, after months of conversations between the airline and the airport.

It has been nearly 13 years since JetBlue last attempted to fly into Atlanta, which lasted only six months before it decided to pull out amid an airline battle with Delta Air Lines and AirTran Airways.
"We are always looking to expand and fly to the places people want to go," JetBlue spokesman Philip Stewart said in a written statement this week, while adding that the airline has no specific decisions to announce on Atlanta at this time.
