Sipping on the Savanna: Zoo Atlanta offers craft cocktails Friday

If you want to drink craft cocktails until dusk while immersed in a wild landscape, check out Zoo Atlanta’s all-new Savanna Nights. The series returns for its second summer installment on Friday night.

At the African Savanna adults-only, after-hours event, guests can view southern white rhinos, African elephants, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, warthogs and meerkats until dusk. Additionally, Buttered Bourbon will perform live music, and there will be craft cocktails with wildlife themes, such as a gin “Sour Sloth.” Local bites from food trucks will also be offered at an extra cost.
Keep in mind that not all Zoo animals are party animals. Make your way to the event before 8 p.m., when the animals will retire to their humble abodes for the night.
Live music, featured cocktails and food trucks change monthly. The final event of the summer is Friday, August 12. To learn more about featured cocktails, music and food, visit zooatlanta.org.
