The Home Depot broke ground Wednesday on a 1 million square foot annex to its Locust Grove Direct Fulfillment Center, the company said.

The facility will house bulky items that consumers can buy online but aren’t found in the Atlanta chain’s stores in great supply, such as hot tubs or refrigerators.

Home Depot opened the Direct Fulfillment Center in 2014 to service online orders, both those that are shipped directly to homes and those sent to stores for customer pick up. That building covers 1.1 million square feet and at peak times employs about 500 people.

No new jobs are expected to be created by the annex building, the company said.
