Metro Atlanta is well represented in the Harris Poll’s 2016 Brands of the Year.
Home Depot, Delta Air Lines, Chick-fil-A and Moe’s Southwest Grill took top honors in their respective categories in the annual contest, which evaluates a brand health over time.
Other top metro winners include UPS, The Weather Channel and WebMD.
Through consumer surveys, the Harris Poll identifies the strongest brands in close to 100 categories, including media, travel, retail, restaurants and financial and automotive industries. It evaluates brand equity on familiarity, quality and purchase consideration.
More than 97,000 U.S. consumers assessed 3,800 brands in nearly 500 categories.
Home Depot was named best hardware and home store, Delta received best full service airlines honors, Chick-fil-A was named best chicken restaurant and Moe’s got the nod for best fast casual Mexican eatery.
UPS was recognized for best package delivery, The Weather Channel for TV news and WebMD for health information website.
Habitat for Humanity, which has its administrative headquarters in Atlanta and operational headquarters in Americus, was named tops for social services non-profit.
