Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit that promotes computer science skills, is bringing its Summer Immersion Program, aimed at high school students, to Austin.

The application is open to 10th- and 11th-grade students and must be filled out by March 1. It runs June 27-Aug. 12 at five locations including AT&T, Indeed, IBM and the Barlovento Foundation for about 100 girls, a spokeswoman for Girls Who Code says.

The programs are free and there is additional financial help for need-based students in the form of $400-$1,400 scholarships.
