South by Southwest Interactive continued its march to March with another round of announcements on Monday: a set of 10 additional featured sessions, some panels related to Richard Linklater's next film and other events.
The new featured speakers are:
- Twitter and Medium co-founder Biz Stone interviewed by Search Engine Land founding editor Danny Sullivan;
- Harvard Kennedy School's Women and Public Policy Program director Iris Bohnet;
- Rethinks Robotics founder Rodney Brooks, interviewed by Newyorker.com editor Nick Thompson;
- Dr. Regina Dugan, vice president of Engineering, Advanced Technology and Projects at Google;
- Co-chairman of Deloitte LLP Center for the Edge John Hagel;
- Professor and robot expert Dr. Hiroshi Ishiguro;
- New Yorker writer and author of the upcoming "The Confidence Game" Maria Konnikova;
- PayPal co-founder and current CEO of Affirm Max Levchin;
- Chris Urmson, director of Google's self-driving cars project;
- CEO and social media expert Gary Vaynerchuk.
SXsports will feature "In the Dugout: The Team from 'Everybody Wants Some'" featuring filmmaker Richard Linklater, actor Tyler Hoechlin and Linklater's college baseball teammate Rick Keeler. SXsports is also adding a session with New York Giants football palyer Odell Beckham Jr., Uninterrupted CEO Maverick Carter and Rory Brown, chief content officer at Bleacher Report.
Also upcoming is Tabletop Gaming event Tuesday night at Emerald Taven, a Jan. 20 SXSW Gaming meetup featuring Certain Affinity at Capital Factory, the list of SXSW Accelerator finalists, which will be announced this week and the next registration deadline this Friday. The featival also announced a SXAmericas startup summit taking place on Monday March 14.
